As United Methodists we believe in open communion. This means that all who believe in the saving grace of Jesus Christ are invited to partake in the sacrament. All are welcome at the Lord's Table at our church. Communion is a family meal, and all Christians are members of Christ's family.

*Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month at our Sunday service.
Baptism is one of the two Sacraments of God’s grace that we celebrate as United Methodists. Baptism is the open door through which we enter into the church with all of its benefits and responsibilities.
Through baptism we discover:
Our worship is an expression of our joy in praising and serving the Lord. In that, worship meets a vital need in our lives; it celebrates and nurtures our relationship with God. Our worship is lively and invites the Holy Spirit's presence among us. We worship to experience the presence of God and to be reminded of God’s love. But how we choose to meet God, to have that intimate conversation, can be as different as each person who walks through the church’s door. At the United Methodist Church of Spring Valley, our worship service each Sunday is to help each one of us to have that personal encounter with God’s presence, so we can be renewed by the experience.
